    Thank you for contacting technical support.

    You can improve performance when loading data to Redshift with additional EC2 instances, provided that you split your data loading into multiple tasks, as follows:

    1. Add a new EC2 instance for ACB and generate your secured password.
    2. Add a new Redshift Target in Replicate and define the new EC2 instance in the target.
    3. Create a new Task that with a different set of tables and use the new Redshift Target in this task.

    This allows you to load more tables in parallel to Redshift, however there are a few other considerations that will affect how fast you can load data to Redshift. The available CPU, Memory and Disk Speed of the on premise Replicate server is a major factor in how quickly the CSV files can be generated before uploading to Redshift.

    The actual data transfer of the CSV files into the S3 bucket is actually the fastest and most efficient part of the process and usually takes less than 60 seconds to upload each 1 GB CSV file. The most resource intensive step is extracting the data from the source Database and creating the CSV files on the Replicate server and so you should review the Hardware Requirements section (G-1) in the Replicate User Guide found here:
