Unable to build WHERE clause, statement

Hi, I'm getting this error sometimes during Apply Changes. It is preventing any of the changes from being applied to the target DB. My source is Oracle and target is Redshift. It just goes into a loop. Any ideas how to resolve this? I confirmed that logging is turned on, on the source table. Also both the source and primary tables have a primary key.

    [TARGET_APPLY ]I: Target components st_0_amazon redshift was reattached after 7 seconds. (subtask.c:1271)
    [TARGET_APPLY ]I: Start applying of cached events for table 'schema'.'table' (14). (bulk_apply.c:1822)
[GLOBAL_LEVEL ]E: Unable to build WHERE clause, statement: 'UPDATE "schema"."table" SET .... WHERE ' [122701] SQL generator failed to build statement. (sql_gen.c:542)

[TARGET_APPLY ]I: Error in bulk, bulk state: bulk confirmed record id - '0', bulk last record id - '0', confirmed record id - '14842281' (bulk_apply.c:1641)

[TARGET_APPLY ]I: Target components st_0_amazon redshift was detached because of recoverable error. Will try to reattach (subtask.c:1398)

    Hello Kad,

    1. So this issue does not occur when doing Full load, correct?

    2. It seems that is an UPDATE schema fail, Could you find out on the CDC what type of Schema update got done on the Source?

    3. Could you narrow down to a particular schema / table ?

    Thanks,
    Steve

Hi Steve, yes this does not occur during full load. In the log above, I replaced the schema name with "schema" and table name with "table". So it's not trying to update the schema, it's trying to run an update statement on a particular table, which it does specify. However it's not able to build the where clause for this UPDATE statement. I've seen this error happen before on a different table, but it went away after I tried a few times.

    Hello Kad,

I am not sure what version of Replicate you are currently running. We have an update version of Replicate 4.5.064 that had some Oracle source fixes.

    Below is the download link.

    http://rmft.attunity.com/mft/bhub.cg...A57492744AE32F

*Download links will expire on 08/06/2015.

Could you Isolate this one table to a task by itself, does the CDC fail on one table one task?

Do you have any transformation of any types for the task?

    Thanks,
    Steve

    Kad,

Also, note that missing supplemental logging on the table level. Will affect ability to apply changes during CDC.

Thank you for posting the update. I was in fact on an older version, I believe 4.0.5.29. This issue is resolved after I installed the update. Thanks!
