    Pausing CDC programmatically‎

    Hi There

Is there a way that we can pause the CDC programmatically‎ without having to go into the Console and hitting the pause button?

Reason for asking is that we have the CDC running 24/7 at a particular point in time 04:00 we start consuming the data from the Attunity Staging area into SLQ Server but we want to change that to a later time. When we start loading from the Attunity Staging area we want to pause the CDC so that we don't get any further changes until our ETL processing is complete - then resume the CDC - make sense?

    Is that possible?

    Thanks

This is reasonable and doable - look in the manual for the special CONTROL_TABLE staging area table. Using it you can pause/resume the change processing.

Thanks for that but I'm not quite sure what you mean? Basically, what I want is a command line way of hitting the Pause button highlighted below - does this make sense?
