The transaction manager has disabled its support (HRESULT: 0x8004D024)

We experienced this with RMS-CDC for SSIS, but is probably applicable to all sources.

    More complete example fail message:

[Initialize Change Processing Task] Error: Failed to acquire Target connection. Microsoft.SqlServer.Dts.Runtime.DtsPipelineExcepti on: The transaction manager has disabled its support for remote/network transactions. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x8004D024) ---> System.Runtime.InteropServices.COMException (0x8004D024): The transaction manager has disabled its support for remote/network transactions. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x8004D024)

If the proper solutions to adjust the MicroSoft Transaction manager setting eludes you despite many articles from Google hits, the you may try a workaround.

The workaround, is to set TransactionOptions to "supported" instead of the default "required" on the properties of the "cdc sequence" building block. Specifically in the case of an RMS source, where transactions are currently not supported, this is likely to be perfectly acceptable.
