Missing components after installing the 64bit Attunity SSIS product

    Problem:
Wrong SSIS components are created by Attunity SSIS wizards on a 64bit machine. When opening the Full Load package in BIDS, the Initialize and Finalize components are showing a wrong icons. Double clicking the icons return an error about “task not registered for use on this computer”.

    Cause:
On some SQL Server 64bit installations the location of the SQL Server data files can be on a different drive and directory. SQL Server also keeps a DTS\tasks directory under that location.
The Attunity installation fails to copy its custom components to that location.

    Workaround:
Manually copy the Attunity dlls from the DTS\tasks under the SQL Server installation directory to the above location.
Repeat this also for the DTS\PipelineComponents directory.
