    CDC change database capturing asian characters

    I have a CDC for Oracle instance set up and the change capture works, but on the source oracle database my character data is english and on the CDC Instance database it is Asian characters. I can create an SSIS package that moves the data from Oracle to SQL just fine and the resulting SQL table's character columns are in English. For some reason Attunity is not producing the same result. Any ideas on why this may be occurring?

    Hi,

    To be able to help, i need some more information:

    • Can you give an example for the data in the source Oracle database and the corresponding data in the CDC Instance database?

    • What is the Oracle database NLS_CHARACTERSET setting? To check the characterset setting, you can run:

    select * from NLS_DATABASE_PARAMETERS where PARAMETER='NLS_CHARACTERSET';

    • How is the column defined? Please add the source table create statement.

    Regards,

    Gadi
