Configuring CDC against a RAC implementation of Oracle

I'm running into an issue with trying to setup a capture instance against a RAC enabled instance of Oracle. We are able to setup the service, test the connection and select tables in the designer. When we start the instance, it immediately goes into an aborted state. I belive I read that the service is RAC aware.

The connections string we are trying is:
    (DESCRIPTION=(LOAD_BALANCE=on)(ADDRESS_LIST=(ADDRE SS=(PROTOCOL=TCP)(HOST=host1)(PORT=1525))(ADDRESS= (PROTOCOL=TCP)(HOST=host2)(PORT=1525)))(CONNECT_DA TA=(FAILOVER_MODE=(TYPE=select)(METHOD=basic))(SER VICE_NAME=servicename)))

It seems to work if we connect to either one of the hosts using host1:1525/servicename

Has anyone been able to connect and run against a RAC?

    Hi,

I suggest that you start with trying to use a TNS name to connect to RAC, instead of specifying the whole connection string in the wizard. If that doesn't help, then reproduce the problem and attach the trace file. For more info on how to get the trace file, see: http://www.attunity.com/forums/chang...cing-2122.html
