    Connection Counts

    Hi,
Is there a way I can control the number of connections CDC is opening in Oracle? Right now the Oracle guys are seeing 4-6 connections(xdbcdcsvc.exe). I would like to open just one connection if possible.

    Thanks,
    Ron

    Hi Ron,

There is no way to control the number of Oracle conections. The Change Data Capture works in several threads in parallel and therefore uses multiple connections.

    Connection pooling

It has been a while since this last reply, so maybe something in between has changed.
For a client we are running into this same problem. We have many connections being setup because we have a package with multipe destinations (different tables).

When using ODBC or ADO.NET then we are able to pool the connections. When using the attunity destination we cannot.
As a result the validation performed by SSIS takes longer when using attunity destination. Is there a way to work around this?
