Oracle CDC for SQL Server discussion ( feel free to join :) )

    Hi...

After I examined the CDC service in capturing any change happen in an oracle database, then reflect that change to a mirror table in the SQL Server database, I end up with some conclusions, and I'd like to share and discuss these conclusions with you guys.

1- Oracle CDC for SQL Server cannot handle any DDL commands, and the behavior differ with respect to the type of the DDL command.
2- sometimes, I noticed unusual behavior of the CDC services, for example, it doesn't detect a regular change that have been detected in previous trials.

I hope everyone try the CDC service to join this discussion.

    Thanks
    Mutaz

Also, I noticed that if the query doesn't affect the source table, the CDC service will not detect anything.
