    Attunity Daemon security on AIX

    Hi,

Open Data Manager is running as user "optadm" on AIX. Anonymous logins are accepted, however when I'm trying to login using optadm/password I'm getting username/password is not valid:

    <5> Login: optadm (9.37.19.35:46764, 08-May-12 01:47:36)
    <5> ***ERROR*** [C012] Invalid username/password <-30060609>
    <5> Logout (08-May-12 01:47:36)

    bash$ ./irpcd status
    Password:
    [C012] Invalid username/password

I can get the status by not entering a password.

Can anyone please help me what am I doing wrong? The system that I'm trying to integrate does not accept anonymous connections so I need to configure security correctly.

    Cheers!

If you are using AIX 6.x then please contact Optim support for an update with support for extended password security on AIX.

    Thank you for your answer.

I'm using AIX 6.1, is there any special fixpack/special config needed to make security work under this version?

    Cheers.
