Q: Where can I look for OC4J exceptions? No exception in Attunity log file.

A: Start by searching for the exception in the Oracle Application Server (or OC4J) console. Then look for the global application log file:
  • /j2ee/home/log/global-application.log
This log file is very important for developers since it includes different exceptions and events which occurs in the lifetime of the application.

For newer versions of OC4J (and Oracle SOA) there is also a local log file for each deployed application:
  • j2ee/home/application-deployments
Next step is looking at Attunity AIS backend log files. When working with JCA we recommend enabling the following debugging flags on the specific bindings:
  • generalTrace
  • acxTrace
