    attunityssisoraconnections.dll 32 bit vs 64 bit

I have installed Oracle 32 and 64 bit clients and the 64 bit Attunity installer too. I have no problems running SSIS packages in BIDS provided that the Run64BitRuntime property is false, and I can call the package from a sql agent job provided the job option "Use 32 bit run time" is set.

I couldn't run the job from sql agent in 64 bit mode so I went digging.

In BIDS, in the connection manager pane, right click and select new connections to bring up the dialog

Now check teh details for the MSORA connection manager (requires some window resizing and scrolling)

Look at the path; I'd say it's using the 32 bit version.

It doesn't look like the 64 bit version (located at C:\Program Files\Attunity\Microsoft Connector for Oracle\10\ENU\) has been registered or for some other reason it's not available to BIDS.

Does anyone know how to resolve this?

    Hi Andrew,

The reason that the 32-bit version is loaded in design time, is that BIDS is running in 32-bit mode. You should run the package in 64-bit mode and, if you have a problem, check what is the error in runtime.
