We are noticing the following types of messages appearing periodically on the VMS console of
Event information: SYSLCK not used to lock system resource ($ENQ)

Should something in Attunity be installed with SYSLCK privilege?

The SYSLCK is used by the NAV_UTIL and IRPCD processes to monitor the end of a NAV_UTIL process. There is a fallback mechanism that exists on all supported platforms including VMS that relies on the socket connection NAV_UTIL server maintains with IRPCD but this socket connection is checked every 30 seconds. Using the VMS locking mechanism, the daemon (IRPCD) can get immediate notification of NAV_UTIL server termination which may be important in some scenarios and not important in other scenarios.

Hence, if security policy allows the granting of that privilege, it is recommended to grant it.
